Pinot Noir from Baden, Germany; light to medium bodied and dry, clean and earthy with notes of mushrooms, wet forest floor, black cherry, and baking spice, with spicy undertones, hints of vanilla and leather, medium plus acid, and plum fruit on the finish. Practicing Organic

"When I first tried this wine, I was a touch skeptical of a German Pinot Noir (more commonly known as Spätburgunder in Germany) at this beautiful price point. The “Tuesday night” price point. I loved it immediately but with air it became surprisingly complex and elegant. It’s mid-weight and brimming with wet mushroomy earth and black cherry, spiced vanilla and leather, and a subtle green vegetal spice that lends structure and depth. This wine will certainly pair well with lean rare beef and venison, but would truly shine with a mushroom or beet risotto."
