100% Pinot Noir from Jura, France; light plus bodied and dry, mineral forward with notes of white cherry, apple, preserved lemon, and white mushroom, with earthy undetones, hints of bread, aged salty cheese, and marzipan, medium plus acid, and a clean elegant finish. Organic
December 2023 Wine Club:
"Nothing rings in the holidays like some tasty bubbles! This delicious Crémant is made from 100% Pinot Noir and comes from the Jura region of France, which is east of Burgundy. It’s fairly light in weight and has notes of orchard fruit - tart cherry and crab apples to be exact. It has a toasty, cheesy, leesy thing happening as well, and with air more lemon curd and marzipan emerge. This wine complements the gift this month; I wanted to make sure you’re ready for your toast! Full disclosure though, drinking this kind of bubbly wine is miles better out of a big wine glass, as you’ll get more of the tiny nuances that make the wine great. When I drank this wine, all I wanted was cheese and crackers. Make sure it’s nice and cold before you open it!"
