Pinot Noir from Volnay 1er Cru, Burgundy, France; light to medium bodied and dry, layered with bright red fruit and mushroomy earth, red cherry and strawberry, forest floor and wet stone, with subtle hints of leather, pepper, and tobacco, with medium plus acid, soft oaky tannins, and a long minerally finish that leaves tart raspberry lingering in the mouth. Just beautiful!
