45% Syrah, 38% Grenache, 17% Mourvèdre from Terrasses du Larzac, Languedoc-Roussillon, France; medium bodied and dry with notes of ripe blackberry and black plum, Tootsie Roll, Ricola, menthol, and eucalyptus, with a glossy texture, balanced acidity, and dry, angular tannins. Certified Organic

The red hills in the area are one of a kind. The closest description would be the deserts of Tatooine, the fictional planet in Star Wars. The soil is comprised of clay, schist, granite, and decomposed basaltic slate. The soil's deep red color is due to its high content of iron and oxide. Blocks of basalt (black stone) are present from the volcanic eruptions of vallée du Salagou.

All grapes are harvested and fermented separately, aged in neutral oak for 12 months, then blended before bottling.
