30% Vermentino, 27% Roussanne, 25% Marsanne, and 18% Muscat Blanc from California, light plus to medium bodied and dry with notes of mango, Meyer lemon, green apple, and roasted pineapple, with medium plus acidity, a spritzy, lively texture, and a clean finish. Very crushable. Organic practices. 

The Vermentino is direct press and comes from The Bench Vineyard, Clements Hills, San Joaquín County, and ferments in stainless steel. The Roussanne, Marsanne, and Muscat Blanc come from Cecchini & Cecchini Vineyard, Contra Costa County, and see brief skin contact before pressing, then are co-fermented in stainless steel. The wines are all blended and aged together in tank sur lie for 6 months.

"Since her start in 2014, Martha Stoumen has been working with a small handful of dedicated farmers that focus on organic and dry-farming practices. She sources grapes from all over California, but her winemaking facility is located in Sebastopol, inside Sonoma County. She takes a minimal-intervention approach in the cellar, allowing the terroir to express itself through the wines. You’ll be tasting two out of her three “Post Flirtation” wines in this month’s subscription, and the third I bought to put on the shelf immediately (a chilled red - it’s killer). The White is a blend of Rhône varieties, including Vermentino, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Muscat Blanc and is, for lack of a better word, crushable. It has a lively texture with notes of roasted pineapple, green apple, Meyer lemon, mango, and flowers. It’s light to medium in body with bright juicy acidity, making it an ideal choice for fish and grilled chicken. The first thing I thought of when I tried it was how I wanted to be on a porch, but it would be spectacular with dense white fish and mango salsa, anything with cilantro, roasted and grilled vegetable dishes, and salmon or the like. Drink cool but not too cold for maximum enjoyment!"
