"This wine blew my mind a little bit (okay, a lot). This gorgeous rosato comes from Sicily, Italy, and is made from a blend of Nero d’Avola, Frappato, and Zibibbo. All of the grapes sit on their skins (macerate) together for a few hours before being pressed to stainless steel tanks where the juice ferments and then ages. The wine is midweight with black cherry ice cream vibes. Even though it tastes like Twizzlers, it has structure, it’s elegant, and the finish is super dry. And just wait until you see the color! This will shine with pink fish, chicken, asparagus and other pungent veggies, tomato-based pasta dishes, and my favorite - PIZZA. Let this be your Pizza Night wine and please report back to me with all the gushy details. Be careful not to drink this one too cold; the subtle hints of cream will hide until it warms up a touch."
