Tinaktorogos from Ilia, Peloponnese, Greece; medium bodied and dry, with yellow flowers and melon, hints of dried herbs and lemon citrus, with a round creamy mouthfeel, medium acid, and a rich soft finish. Org, bio

This single-vineyard 100% Tinaktorogos is an extremely rare variety indigenous to Ancient Olympia. The variety has been uniquely cultivated by the Brintzikis for the last 23 years and is old enough to have been referenced by Homer. It produces a transparent, white wine with hints of green reflections in the glass. The wine has a medium, balanced acidity, and a rich, delicate finish. Notes of warm citrus, lemon flowers, melon, and pipfruit giving way to underlying dried herbs and dried flowers. Fermentation with native yeast at 18°C in stainless steel tanks for almost 10 days. Maturation over lees for two months.
