Refosco from Isola, Slovenia; 1 week on the skins in big old French barrels, then aged 1 year in stainless steel; medium plus bodied and dry, spicy and fruity on nose, with tons of black pepper and earth, with layers of blackberry and plum, medium acid, and a grippy powdery tannin structure.
