Refosco from Isola, Slovenia; medium plus bodied and dry; deep, spicy, and earthy with layers of blueberry, plum, black pepper, meat, and violets, with hints of vanilla and almond, cleansing acidity, grippy powdery tannins, and lingering tart blackberry on the finish. Organic. Delicious with darker seafood dishes like Fra Diavlo, but also yummy with oily fish dishes and salty meat. Drink chilled if you prefer!
