"This month we’re going to stick to two producers located in the coastal state of South Australia - one in McLaren Vale and the other Adelaide Hills, our first wine hailing from the former. Made from 52% Sauvignon Blanc and 48% Semillon, this blend mirrors that of white Bordeaux, and the subtleties are not dissimilar. The two grapes complement each other perfectly. The Sauvignon Blanc brings forth bright acidity and aromas of grass, gooseberry, passionfruit, and herbs, while the Semillon rounds the edges with its waxy texture and hints of cream, lemon rind, and yellow gummy bears. The balance is spectacular, and the food pairing capabilities are endless. This wine screams TURKEY PLEASE, and its medium plus acidity and opulent texture will cut right through the denser, richer dishes commonly served at the Thanksgiving dinner table. Try not to drink this wine fresh out of the fridge; the Semillon hides when it’s too cold."
