"These Sidewood wines really blew my mind. I’ve had loads of Australian Shiraz, some exceptional and some not so much, and they all are huge, oaky, and ripe. This wine, however, walks to the beat of its own drum. It is restraint and elegance in a bottle, although it did instantly remind me of Andes Candies! It starts off a solid  medium in body, but with air it fattens out to medium plus, and it has deep notes of medicinal cherry (think cough syrup but in a good way), cooked blackberry syrup, ripe plums, burned cocoa nibs, black pepper, and baking spices, with fresh grass and lilacs hanging out in the high tones. It has silky tannins and a glassy texture with lingering mint in the finish. I just love it. Try this with some yams, cranberry sauce, and any green vegetable you may come across in the coming weeks. I’m pretty   excited to carry this wine in the shop regularly after the December Wine Club goes out. Until then, you have exclusive access to it!"
