Unfiltered Wine Club February 2024:

"Quinta da Muradella is located in Monterrei, north of Portugal in Galicia, Spain. It is made from mostly Mencía along with Tempranillo, Garnacha Tintorera, and Mouraton. This wine needs a burger! It has a really clean structure with notes of deep blackberry and ripe papaya. With some air more aromas of rose petals emerge, and the earthy undertones lend that backbone that screams “drink me with meat!” I do know we have some vegetarians in the house, and this wine is for you as well! I imagine grilled portobello mushrooms, lentils, and balsamic-marinated tofu. Mama."
