Unfiltered Wine Club, November 2023

"What do you know? Another Chardonnay in the Unfiltered Wine Club. This time it’s an orange wine though, so it will be super different than what we’re used to here. This one comes from Redwood Valley, California, and it’s literally made in the winemaker’s parents’ basement. It’s very small production and I feel lucky to have been offered some! Along with Chardonnay, there are few other grapes that you’ll find on the back label of the bottle, including Albariño - one of my favorite white varieties of all time, especially when it’s seen a touch of skin contact. This wine is bursting with notes of orange blossom, citrus and tropical fruits, and my personal favorite bits - banana skin and orange taffy! With cheese...yes please!"
