Sangiovese from Brunello di Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy; full bodied and dry, super complex with notes of red currant, black cherry, and ripe black plum, earthy undertones with layers of tobacco, cigar box, coffee, and leather, hints of vanilla, baking spices, and dried herbs (bay leaf, thyme, basil, and mint!), with dry silky tannins and balanced oak, medium plus to high acid, and an everlasting red fruit finish. Despite its age, this wine is still a bit young to be fully enjoyed and could use a few years in the cellar. It is truly spectacular wine. Practicing Organic.
