Mario Geisse, a former winemaker for Chandon, started his own sparkling-only boutique winery in the 1970s in the southernmost state of Brazil. Focusing on micro-terroir methods at high altitude, his extraordinarily high-quality wines showcase some of the best sparkling wines in South America. The fruit is grown under rigorous organic practices to keep pesticides out of their products. Wines are hand-riddled, method-champenoise, and aged to perfection. The Cave Amadeu range offers everyday great quality for value.
